This gorgeous girl is Kya. She is a Toy Australian Shepherd, weighs 14lbs and is 6 years old.
Kya is looking for a caring, compassionate home who will help build her confidence and understand that she can be a bit shy when meeting new faces. She would do fantastic in a home that will give her the time she needs to settle in and trust her new family and surroundings. Kya’s can be a bit timid when meeting men for the first time. She is much more comfortable with women and will bond quicker with them. She would be perfect in a home with a single female or couple who has the time to be at home with her part of the day. She would also do well in a family with older children who can understand the importance of respecting a dog’s space. Kya is not aggressive at all - it’s all about giving her time and space to feel comfortable. With a little trust, you’ll find Kya is a wonderful companion who is completely devoted to her family. Seriously - once this little darling settles in, she is 100% all LOVE!
Kya’s energy level is moderate and she absolutely loves a good lap to rest on. She loves to be held and will give you little soft kisses. She is great in the car and will lay quietly in the passenger seat for car rides. Kya is house-trained and walks well on a leash. A home with a fenced-in backyard will be taken into consideration as Kya will love the space to run around and play. This little girl is also cat friendly.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
