LITTLE JOON~

Little Joon is an adorable Silky/Yorkie with a serious desire to be a snuggler and a lap dog.

She is also full of playfulness with a fun-loving attitude. She loves exploring on her walks and will alert you to nearby dog walkers or critters crossing your path. She is leash trained, but will pull if she sees something she is interested in.

She is in a foster home with two other Terriers and gets along well with them. She gets excited because she’s amused by the other dogs playing, but she prefers to step aside from the commotion. She seems to be friendly toward children and men. She also loves to snuggle with you in bed at night and will burrow under the covers and hunker down for the night.

In her former life, Little Joon was not provided consistent medical care. She came to us with a bladder stone, which we had surgically removed. The stone caused the need for frequent potty breaks which were not provided for in her former environment, so we are working on house training now that her medical issue has been addressed. She wears cute, little puppy pants while indoors. She prefers to potty outside and is working really hard on her house skills,

Because of her previous urinary/bladder issues, she needs nutritious food and plenty of access to water. Joon seems to do fine in a crate and she also does well if she’s left uncrated in the house. She’s always up for a car ride and does great on road trips. It seems that little Joon was used for breeding and then passed around to different owners until we came upon her. She deserves a loving, permanent family who will give her the comfortable life she deserves.

We believe LITTLE JOON to be a Yorkie/Silky mix. Her estimated DOB is 8/17/2011, and she weighs 11 pounds as of 9/11/19.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details that are not included in this biography.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
