"Hi there! Daphne is my name and cuddling with my human in my game. My foster mama and sister call me the "Cuddle Monster", because my favorite part of the day is crawling into my human's lap and give kisses and cuddles. I am definitely a "Luhver, not a Fighta". My favorite human in my foster home is my 14 year old human foster sister, as she gets on the couch and lets me snuggle as long as I want. I really do want to receive love, so I am an equal opportunity snuggler with all human beings that let me.
I also get along with all 5 of my canine foster sisters, who range from 7 pounds to 65 pounds....and I am the wonderful midsized canine. I am always down for a good game of wrestle, chase or mouthy face with my canine sisters. My foster mom says I am a good mix of playful energy with my canine sisters and chill dog that will hang in my crate or snuggle up to my human.
I don't bark much. One of my canine sisters does all the barking in the household, so there really isn't any need to. When I first came to my foster home, I whined just every so slightly in my crate, but now that I have found out that it is a great place to eat, get treats and chew on my special bone, I don't make a peep when I am in it. I sleep through the night with no fuss in my crate. I am housebroken, and I know how to sit for treats. I love food and will get so excited at dinner time. I haven't mastered some of the other obedience commands such as heel, place, and such....but I will learn if my human spends the time to teach me. My foster mom also doesn't know my background.....I have been very afraid to walk on leash, so she is working on my walking skills on leash, but I am a work in progress. My family will be patient, but encouraging, to help me with things that I may be uncertain about.
I am looking forward to starting my "happily ever after" story with my future family. I do dream about having my own person or persons that will love and snuggle with me, who thinks that my bouncing around when I am excited for dinner or playing outside is adorable and who desires a companion that will be totally devoted to them and look at them with eyes of pure love. We believe DAPHNE ANN to be an American Staffordshire mix. Her stimated DOB is 05/18/2018, and she weighs 42 pounds as of 6/1/20.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.
Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.
The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.
We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
