Hi, my name is Cyra and I am looking for my furever home! I am a plott hound and am very well behaved, crate trained and house broken. I know a few commands (sit, down, paw), Do you need to go potty? and Are you hungry?and I am working on the Come command. My humans are working are working with me on my leash manners while on a standard leash, but if I have on my prong collar, I do very well. I have been nicknamed by some as a PLOP hound because of the way I lay in the froggy leg position - I like to feel the cool floor on my belly!
My humans tell me that I am so beautiful, sweet, playful and super smart. While I need to be an inside dog, I have a lot of energy and love to be outside to run and explore. I will often times find sticks of all sizes and chew on them – they keep me quite occupied for a long period of time! I really love my fur brother and fur sister – we play and get along very well together and I would love to be in a home that either has other fur babies for me to play with or in a home that has an active human who will take me for walks and play ball, etc with me. There are times, though, when my current fur siblings don’t feel like playing so I am self-entertaining – I will throw a ball or knot/rope up in the air and catch it.
I haven’t been around cats, so I’m not sure about them at this point. I very rarely bark and usually if I do, it’s because I am trying to get my fur siblings to play with me. I don’t even cry when I am in my crate. I do love to be around my humans when I’m in the house and will stay right by their side. One of my favorite things to do is to climb up with my humans to shower them with kisses and fall asleep in their laps. I am gentle and loving and do well with all humans, big or small.

Cyra is a Plott Hound mix with an estimated DOB of August 2014. She is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated and weighs 75 pounds.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
