Genevieve is an approximately 2-3 year old All American rescue dog. Her breed is anyone's guess, but she looks to have some lab/retriever and boxer or American Bulldog somewhere in the mix. She is about 50 pounds, and the ideal, medium size dog.
Genevieve is extremely affectionate and gentle with people, and is wonderful around children. She has lived in her foster home with multiple dogs (of various sizes and dispositions) and has gotten along well with all of them. She loves to play with the other dogs in her home, but if one of them doesn't want to, she will take the hint and go find someone else to pay attention to. She hasn't met any cats yet, but hasn't had any issues with smaller dogs (think 10-lb Yorkie), so we think she would do ok with them, after that initial "nice to meet you" sniff, of course. She plays well with her toys, without going after her foster dad's shoes, so that's a plus. Her all time favorite way to spend an evening is curled up against her person, getting lots and lost of pets and ear rubs.
Genevieve is house and crate trained, and walks well on a leash. When you get to the door, she will reach her head around and gently grab the leash with her mouth, and then she's the one walking you out! It's a neat trick of course, because she always lets go of the leash right before she goes potty, so you have a very clear way to tell when she is about to do her business. He foster dad says that while she is still young and a little silly, she is well behaved and listens to her people like you'd expect an older dog to do.
Genevieve is patiently waiting for a loving forever family that is deserving of her loyalty and love so she can finally be a real family member and so much more than just a pet.
Genevieve has an approximate DOB of 7/2015. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
