Hi there! My name is Marigold and I am Shepherd mix dog. I was brought to a kill shelter after being hit by a car. Lucky for me, You Lucky Dog Rescue stepped up to give me the help I needed. It was a long road to recovery, as I needed help walking but I never lost faith in people. Since being rescued by You Lucky Dog, I got the surgery I needed and can run around as good as any other dog out there! Walks - I love them! And that's a good thing because my adopter will need to maintain my weight and my svelte hips. I need my girlish figure to be svelte so as not to place any extra weight on my hips.
I am crate trained and house trained. I love people, children and absolutely LOVE playtime with other dogs. I am devoted to my family and like to protect them, I can be uncertain with meeting new people so proper introductions (as is the case with ALL dogs that are meeting each other for the first time) should be made. I will do best in a home as I like to talk, and I might bother your next door neighbors in an apartment setting - although, my voice is very pretty; don't ya know?
Marigold's estimated DOB is January, 2017. She weighs 50 pounds (her ideal weight) and is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. All YLDR dogs are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
