All dogs are welcome at You Lucky Dog Rescue. We are not a breed specific rescue and accept dogs of all breeds and ages. In addition, we accept dogs that require extensive medical intervention. Through the generosity of our supporters, we provide heartworm treatment, orthopedic surgeries, and treatment for other serious medical issues. We specifically focus a lot of our rescue efforts on bully breeds. We believe that all dogs should be judged by their actions and not by their appearance. We oppose breed specific legislation and hope to educate the public on the love and loyalty shown by “pit bull” type dogs.
Recognizing that pet overpopulation is the primary reason that so many dogs are dying in shelters, You Lucky Dog Rescue is committed to never allowing a dog to leave a foster home until the dog is spayed or neutered. You Lucky Dog Rescue does believe in the benefits of pediatric spay/neuter and does spay and neuter all puppies in the rescue that meet age and weight requirements.
