Lagertha (aka Laggie) is a 45lb. snuggle bug with a playful puppy side. She likes to run in the yard, play with toys. She is so much fun to watch zoom around the yard in celebration of her happy self. She prefers to be outside with a human or another of her species, not by herself.
She was named after the famous female Viking. And, it is fitting as Lagertha/Laggie has a will to survive. She was delivered to the shelter with a ruptured eye which had to be removed. She is no longer in pain and adapting well. Perhaps we should have named her after a pirate?
Laggie loves children, but due to her playful nature, we recommend a home with children at least 5 years of age. We wouldn't want a little tyke to be knocked down during friendly play.

Lagertha is an American Staffordshire/Lab mix with an estimated DOB of 1/1/2018. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. She weighs 45 pounds and is heart worm negative. All YLDR dogs are kept on monthly heart worm/flea preventative and undergo an annual heart worm test.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
