Filbert is a very mellow guy! He loves everyone he meets, including people of all ages and sizes. He enjoys playing, if encouraged with a toy or by other dogs, but mostly he just likes to nap! Filbert also likes to show off his tricks such as sitting before going outside or eating, shaking (both paws), and kenneling up in his crate for bedtime. He is truly a gentle giant.
Filbert is a quiet office mate when his foster mom works from home, and is very content just being near his people. Filbert is hoping for a forever family that likes to give tummy rubs - in the meantime, Filbert is practicing his leash manners and mastering his cuddling skills.
We believe FIBLERT to be an American Pit Bull Terrier/Lab mix. His estimated DOB is 7/26/2017 and he weighs 72 pounds.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.
Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.
The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.
We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
