REY

REY

Rey is six months old and is 36 lbs.

Adorable Rey has been with her foster family since September 25, 2026, after being rescued before her deadline by You Lucky Dog Rescue from Henry County Animal Control. This young puppy was born at the shelter in March 2026 into a litter of nine puppies. She has never known life outside the shelter walls until now. She is ready to learn the expectations from her new family. Her endearing underbite and classic head-tilt make people fall in love with her little face and personality.

Rey is new to her foster family’s house, so she is learning routine and outdoor potty expectations. She is doing so well will her house-training, and will bark to alert her need to go outside to do her business. She does not have free-roam of the house while she is in training and she has not had direct interaction with the foster family’s pack of five dogs. She has gone outside on a leash with some of the pack dogs and tries to engage in play. She is getting used to running around the fenced in yard to chase balls and toys.  She will happily sploot and roll in the grass when she’s done playing. She is not destructive of her crate towels and can be left in a crate while her foster parents are out of the house.

Rey would do best in a home with a family who has the patience to continue training a very engaged and loving puppy. She wants nothing more than to snuggle with her people and to belong to a family who won’t let her down. She deserves a family who will guide her lovingly through puppyhood so she can become the dog she is destined to be!

For more information on our adoption process, please read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. You can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details that are not included in this biography.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
