You know the saying, "everything happens for a reason"? Well, it couldn't be more apropos than in this story. Chocolate Lab CAMI (center) was brought into our rescue as a very shy girl with little to no confidence in herself or her surroundings. It was sad to watch. YLDR got CAMI some confidence training which helped, and she was adopted. However her new adoptive family soon realized that CAMI was regressing and that their home with no other dogs was not the best situation for her. CAMI came back to YLDR, and soon went home with one of our awesome Fosters who had other dogs in their home. Within hours dog Thelma Lou (far Right) became CAMI's security blanket and canine therapist making her feel right at home! Opie dog (far Left) also helped to provide a sense of canine security for CAMI. As for CAMI, it was instant love for her new Fosters and canine friends. Now there's no separating them, CAMI was officially adopted by her Fosters Martha and Joel C. When it's all about the dogs, we don't mind a good Foster Fail story. RESCUE WORKS - even when it fails!
