MEDICAL FOSTER NEEDED
Ok Folks, who doesn’t love a snorter? ~ Meet MILA (aka Piggy-because she sounds like a piglet when she snorts)
Mila is a beautiful, brindle, petite girl who has had it rough in her short life. She’s about 2 years old and 36 lbs, a cuddler and perfect lap dog. This precious girl was rescued from the shelter and sadly has tested positive for Heartworms. Unfortunately, precious Mila is sitting in boarding because we are so short on fosters. Boarding is no place for her to be during Heartworm treatment. Mila needs to be in a warm home where she can remain calm and stress free. Don’t let the sound of Heartworm treatment scare you. You would have a medical foster mentor to support you through it.
After Heartworm treatment, Mila will also need to have surgery to correct her luxating patellas. This poor girl has been dealt a raw deal by her previous owners. She now needs to know the safety and warmth of a home and the love of a family. She is great with kids, dogs and adults, but no cats or other small woodland creatures for this girl. She is crate trained, house trained, and learning her leash manners.
Mila has an estimated DOB of Dec 2016 and is guestimated to be an American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She weighs 36 pounds, undergoing a heartworm treatment presently. It is anticipated that she will need to have knee surgery after her heartworm treatment is completed.
