We've said it before, "RESCUE WORKS WHEN WE ALL WORK TOGETHER!" NOELLE's Happy EvFURAfter story demonstrates exactly how well rescue works when a team of caring volunteers and advocates pull together. Here's NOELLE'S story from her new Mom. Thank you Ron and Susan for being NOELLE's foster and forever family. She has been so well taken care of in your home.
"I’m ADOPTED! Meet our newest family addition, NOELLE. This is her first photo without the 5 pins and titanium rod holding her badly broken front leg together. Spring is here in Georgia, NOELLE is almost healed and ready to run! She had surgery March 5th to remove the appliance on her leg that had been there since mid-December. Ron & I have been Fostering and caring for her since December, and she’s come a long way. NOELLE is indeed one of the lucky ones. Her life was saved by You Lucky Dog Rescue, and so many caring people who donated so she could have leg-saving surgery after being hit by a car. Poor girl was abandoned by her original owners. She wound up in an Atlanta kill shelter, where she was forgotten for 3 weeks with a plastic bag on her leg until her time was up. Few come to adopt dogs with broken legs. Once YLDR told her story on Facebook, NOELLE’S life changed and she got her Christmas miracle. A nice lady came to get her the final hour of her final day, and took her to Forsyth Animal Hospital where an excellent surgeon Dr. Avra & staff did their best work. They said she’s “a real success story!” After caring for her 24/7, seeing how she’s bonded with our other dogs, and what a sweet girl she’s been from day one we decided NOELLE could have her “happy ever after” right here with us. I know, I’m a huge Foster Fail but it can’t be helped. Some things are just meant to be." ~ Susan
