Theodore Wiley

How cute is this little fella?! And, what is amazing is he is just as wonderful and sweet as he is cute! So we are introducing Theodore Wiley to you all. We call him Teddy for short. The vet believed him to be about 1.5 year old. He is absolutely wonderful with kids and does very well with other dogs. His foster mom says he is doing great on his potty training – he’s not perfect but since he has been neutered he is improving every day. His foster mom says he is the perfect little guy. He does super well on a leash and very much enjoys going for walks. He is a total lapdog and loves to snuggle and give kisses! When the foster mom leaves the house he seems to do very well and behaves himself, even when not crated but kept within the confines of a babygate. He loves to sleep in his doggie bed at night. He loves his food and treats.

Ideally we would like for him go to a home with another small dog. He seems a little scared of bigger dogs when he first meets them. He listens very well and comes to you when called. He has a very laid back temperament and we feel like will adjust very well when adopted to the right home.

It is very difficult to tell what breed mix the little guy is but we are guessing long haired Chihuahua; long haired dachshund; and maybe even some Corgi? He weighs about 12-15 pounds. We are looking for a very special adopter that will love him forever and make him a part of their family. If there are children in the home, he will do very well, however, because of his size they should probably be 5 years old at least. We’d prefer that he not go into a home where everyone works full time and he is left all day. Little guy needs lots of love and chances to go out an potty and play throughout the day. We would never want him to be left unattended outside either. He must always be supervised and taken good care of. He is very special to all of us that know and love him and we are very protective.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
