We don’t know why someone abandoned sweet Jordan, but we’re here to make sure that never happens again. She was named “Courage at the shelter because she was shy and scared when she arrived. Who could blame this adorable girl for being unsure who to trust? Any young pup would be terrified trying to adjust to shelter life. However, a team of volunteers worked hard to save her at You Lucky Dog Rescue and Henry County Animal Shelter! She went home with her foster family on 4/8/26.

Jordan lives in a foster home that includes her foster mom and dad, college-aged human brother, 5 dogs (males and females), and 1 cat. She is an easy-going social girl who thrives on guidance from her pack siblings. They are showing her where all of the good toys and bones are, as well as the best outdoor potty spots. She does all of her potty business every 4 hours and sleeps through the night in her crate without a peep. Once she hears her foster parents and the pack awaken, she whines to be included. She doesn’t bark unless she’s vocalizing with happiness during playtime. She hasn’t identified any favorite toys yet, but she is trying them out. She is fine and non-destructive in her crate when her foster family leaves the house.

Jordan gets to help her foster dad work from home, so she’s building her confidence and routine quickly. She goes into her crate without issue. She has already learned the sit-wait-ok command for while waiting for breakfast and dinner. This helps her understand that running to her food dish in unnecessary; there will always be food available. She does not have any food aggression and is learning to accept treats from her foster parents.

This young pup is easy to love and be around. She happily goes for car rides with some of the other pack dogs and enjoys checking in with the driver with her sweet, expressive eyes. She enjoys the walks around the neighborhood so far, and lights up if she gets to bring along one of the pack dogs. Jordan in young and impressionable and eager to learn. She is highly trainable and will make some lucky family a loyal, loving companion.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
