JAZZ
Jazz is a beautiful 40-pound Poodle mix who is approximately 1 and 1/2 years old and is ready to find the loving family she's been waiting for. With her affectionate personality and easygoing nature, she makes a wonderful companion and quickly becomes part of the family.
Jazz is fully house-trained and crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and rides great in the car. She loves being with her people and will happily follow you from room to room, always wanting to be close. At night, she settles down nicely and is content to relax by your side.
She adores other dogs and has a playful style that matches the energy of her canine friends. She's also very respectful of boundaries - when the older dog in her foster home lets her know it's time to settle down, Jazz happily gives them space. Because she enjoys playing so much, she'd love a fenced yard where she can run and play freely, and she'd be especially happy in a home with another friendly, playful dog. While Jazz hasn't spent much time around cats, her gentle and submissive nature leads us to believe she would likely do well in a home with cats, given proper introductions.
Jazz loves everyone she meets, although she may be a shy when first greeting new people inside the home. Give her some time, and her sweet personality shines through.
She's gentle in every way, even taking treats softly from your hand. She's treat-motivated, already knows "sit," and ready to learn so much more.
Like many young dogs, Jazz has a playful, mischievous streak. If you leave a plate of food unattended, don't be surprised if she decides it's fair game! She's been known to sneak a tasty bite now and then—but with that sweet face, it's awfully hard to stay mad at her.
Medical Note: Jazz is currently completing her heartworm treatment and is doing very well. You Lucky Dog Rescue will cover the full cost of treatment. Heartworm disease is fully treatable, and her prognosis is excellent. Once treatment is complete, keeping her on a monthly heartworm preventative (which all dogs should receive as part of routine care) will help ensure she remains heartworm-free for years to come.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.
Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.
The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.
We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
