We know you have lots of questions about this amazing dog and our meet & greet/adoption process. Most of your questions will be answered in this biography or on our Adoption Facts located at our website (web address is at end of biography). We are an all-volunteer organization, and we receive many inquiries on a daily basis. If you email a question that is already answered in this biography, you will most likely not get a response. This oh so handsome guy is Jake Roo. He is a Pomeranian/Papillon mix, 10 lbs and approximately 3 years old.
The right home for Jake will be with a single adult or adult couple with no young children. A dog savvy person who can be a strong leader to Jake is a must. He has a mentality we often see in small dogs - he is 10 lbs, but thinks he is 90 lbs. Jake is slow to warm up to new faces, especially other dogs, and slow introductions are necessary. While not a must, a secure yard with a fence would be best as Roo loves the freedom of running around in play.
In the right home with the right person, this little guy is absolutey wonderful. Super affectionate and devoted to his person - he will be your little shadow. Incredibly sweet and just the best snuggle pup. Jake is house-trained and crate-trained and can be trusted in the home as he has perfect house manners. Knows the commands Sit, Stay and Leave It. He would be a great companion for someone who has experience working with dogs with Jake's personality and temperament and will spend the time needed to help Jake be the best dog he can be.
Jake Roo is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
